The neighboring villages would like to trade with you, here are some tips on how to setup your trade routes in Foundation to make coin and balance out your resources.
Trade Routes
There are four Trade Routes to buy from and sell to, they are accessed in your Book [Tab] or by pressing F3. You start with three and unlock a fourth as you build your village.
Northbury
Northbury is our welcoming neighbors, allied with Labor Estate and requires 20 Planks to enable trade. When starting out you want to buy Tools from Northbury until your village can make them. Also, if you are playing on a map without fishing, you could purchase Fish if you are low on Berries.
Trade Bonus from the Labor Estate will increase trade with Northbury by 20%.

Traders
Traders will visit your town and stop by each of your Warehouses and Granaries searching for items you want to sell or they want to buy. Once you have enabled trade with a Trade Route setup trading by opening the Trade panel [F3] and click on Resources. Here you will see a list of all your Resources.
Sell to Trader
To sell a Resource click the down pointing arrow to the right of the resource then type in the amount you want to sell above what you have.
For example: You have 1100 Polished Stone, you want to always have 400 Polished Stone on hand for your village and sell everything ABOVE 400. You would type 400 into the box. Traders will now purchase items from you when they are above your set threshold. This does not mean they will buy all the items available, they will only buy what they need.
Buy from Trader
To buy a Resource from a Trader, select the upwards pointing arrow and enter the amount of that item you want to buy from the Trader. This will buy the resource until it reaches that number.
Stop Trading
To stop trading a resource select the X button for No Trade.
Stockpiling
Select the left button and this resource will now stockpile into your storage until you uncheck it.
Track
Locate Resources around the map with the track option to the left of the Resource. You can also quickly track in the Resources menu by right clicking the icon.
